Who is a member of All Saints Church?
The question, “What do you consider a church member to be?”, is often asked of me. The question is a good one.  This is my answer.
A member of the church is:
1. An individual who has accepted Jesus Christ, God’s Son as Savior and serves Him as Lord.
2. A person who has received water Baptism in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, as the outward and visible sign of being a member of Christ’s Body, the Church.
3. A person who strives to live her/his life following Jesus example of living: loving God and loving neighbor as ourselves.
4. A member of All Saints parish fulfills 1,2, and 3 and is “registered”, who has made a financial “pledge of record” , who attends worship regularly (e.g. 2 to 3 x per month) , who participates in the life and ministry of the congregation by taking advantage of educational, fellowship, and ministry opportunities, and who gives of their Time, Talent and Treasure for the work of God through this congregation.
5. A qualified candidate for leadership in the congregation as a Vestry member fulfills all the above and has made a conscious decision to Tithe to the operating budget of the parish or has made a commitment to achieve that level of giving during the time he/she serves as a vestry person.  This individual also agrees to serve on at least one of the parish SWEEPS Commissions as a working member of that commission or as its chair person.
